That level of introspection is clear throughout Fredrick’s debut album released 2021. Since its’s release the album has amassed over 7 milion streams across all platforms and cemented Nate as a respected singer/songwriter in the Americana genre. The 11 tracks were recorded at Nashville’s Farmland Studios with producer David Dorn at the helm. The collection sounds as familiar as what you might hear on a friend’s back porch, but Fredrick’s lyrics are bound to get stuck in your head as he works through his relationship to both himself and his home—where he’s from and Nashville, where he moved in 2015. The first single from Different Shade of Blue, "Paducah," is a love letter of sorts to the process of finding yourself through miles spent on the highway.
Nate currently shares residence between Springfield, MO and Nashville, TN. He has shared the stage with artists such as: Morgan Wade, Clint Black, Muscadine Bloodline, Early James, Charles Wesley Godwin, Grady Spencer and The Work and The Michigan Rattlers.
His bluesy Americana style is the result of influences such as Guy Clark, Creedence Clearwater Revival and Van Morrison. In 2023 Nate joined forces with The Wholesome Boys for a 6 song EP of his oreviously written music. Once again he assembled the same team at Farmland Studios and David Dorn as producer. The Wholesome Boys brought new life to Fredrick’s music and a relentless tour of shows followed, supporting acts like Morgan Wade Muscadine Bloodline and Clint Black. These shows brought his music to all four corners of the United States and solidified Nate Fredrick and The Wholesome Boys as a seasoned touring outfit.
A fully realized Debut from THE WHOLESOME BOYS came in 2024 when Nate and his band set out for Brooklyn, NY under the guides of producer Ben Rice, the boys wrote and recorded something truly unique at Mr. Rice’s Degraw Sound studio. a true departure of sorts from the country flair of the EP and Fredrick previous solo album. This was a full-fledged rock record in all of its forms. The record was released over a eight month campaign in 2025 and has drawn comparisons to Interpol, Bruce Springsteen The Killers and Kings of Leon. The Wholsome Boys have an upcoming single in 2026 called New York City. There are plans for a proper sophmore effort from Nate Fredrick in 2026 as well. Stay tuned, Nate Fredrick isn’t going anywhere no matter what iteration you may find him in. You can trust it is where the muse has led him.
